Experimentation on the 4PMI platform

In the fall of 2020, the large-scale experiment under controlled conditions was able to start on the 4PMI high-throughput phenotyping platform. More than 1200 plants have been transplanted in RhizoTubes®, these innovative devices allowing us to characterize the root system in a non-destructive way.
Samples are taken regularly during the 6 weeks of experimentation, and involve many colleagues: measurements of water flow, leaf surface, intra-plant carbon allocation and tissue sampling for later molecular analysis...
