M2 Corentin Euvrard

M2 internship of Corentin Euvrard

M2 internship of Corentin Euvrard for the development of root image analysis algorithms. Supervision Mickaël Lamboeuf and Marion Prudent.

Summary of the internship: The RhizoTube® and RhizoCab® devices are used to obtain non-destructive and non-invasive images of a plant's root system. From these images, it is possible to extract characteristics such as length, diameter or root insertion angle. Tools exist to extract some of these features but most often in a semi-automatic way, and sometimes in an incomplete and/or imprecise way. Moreover, manual processing of root images can be a very time-consuming operation, and the automated contributions to some of these tools only really assist in certain processing steps, not favoring the analysis of datasets containing large images.
We propose here methods to automatically measure root traits of pea plants.
